On
11 March, the European Parliament in Strasbourg inaugurated the
Victoria Amelina Reading Space in honour of Ukrainian writer, human rights defender, and war crimes documentarian Victoria Amelina. For the occasion, Victoria Amelina's children's book,
The Eh-Eh-Edventures of Excavator Eka, was showcased in the EP Library. Since the death of Victoria Amelina, TEUk added her children's book to its catalogue, and the title was published in bilingual Ukrainian-English version by the Federation of European Publishers (FEP) in the framework of the project. Victoria Amelina was killed in a Russian missile strike on Kramatorsk in 2023. Her literary legacy and human rights work remain a significant contribution to preserving memory and the fight for justice.
